In my sophomore year, I began working with the Department of Student Life at Dominican University of California, creating posters and other advertising materials for student government and other functions.

It's time to talk series
“It’s Time to Talk” was a series of events put on by student government in an attempt to engage students to engage in discussions about important topics pertinent to their daily lives. Each topic was given a week, and panels and activities were held to educate and inform students as well as allow them to exchange ideas.
My responsibilities included creating a poster to advertise the upcoming week as well as create additional infographics. Over time, we discovered that it was beneficial to follow the same design for posters and instead would change the colors to signify a new topic.
The template was engineered to be easy to use, consisting of a *.psd document that contained masks to reveal color and space to add the subject and date of the social issue week.
Sports day series
The Sports Game Series was a standardized poster that advertised different sporting events that Dominican University students could attend for a discounted rate. Similar to the “It’s Time to Talk” series, the goal was to create an easily recognized template that could be used unilaterally across many sports.
The template consisted of a *.psd document that created a frame for the two primary pictures as well as the ASDU banner and white/colored lines to help delineate where the text sits on the page.
